The new Nokia N97 is Apple and BlackBerry put together into one phone. It has been said to be Nokia 5800 on steroids. With the release of Nokia N97, Nokia has just raised the standards for Smart Phones.
The Nokia N97 combines a large 3.5” touch display with a full QWERTY keyboard, providing an ‘always open’ window to favourite social networking sites and Internet destinations.

The New Nokia N97 is introducing a new concept of “Social Location”. With it’s integrated A-GPS sensors and its electronic compass, the Nokia N97 mobile computer intuitively understands where it is and the best part is that it automatically updates itself with real time information.

The 16:9 widescreen display can fully personalized with widgets and more from your favourite websites and networks.

It is also fully equipped for web browsing, streaming flash video or playing games on the Nokia N97. It has a physical QWERTY and virtual touch input which ensures efficiency in blogging, chatting, posting, sending text messages and emailing.

The Nokia N97 supports up to 48GB of storage which includes 32 GB of on board memory which can be expanded with a 16GB microSD card for media storage, music storage and more.

The Nokia N97 fully supports Nokia Music Store and continuous playback time of up to 1.5 days. It also has a 5 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and DVD quality video capture which can be immediately shared over HSDPA and WLAN.

I could be persuaded to 'join the dark side' and buy this instead of an Htc Tytn2. But I still have my own interests in my own toys....
ps. global positioning location services without satellites, then transmit a/b will replace hsdpa? its really a matter of the state of power consumption technologies? for now though... fear of this station will keep them inline.....

mmmm looking to change soon from n95 - pity nokia hadn't improved the already excellent camera, 8gb slowly becoming the norm. Only other hope is that the menu is a little more responsive. Will be watching - hope you read this nokia
