Apple formally announced about its new MacBook and MacBook Pro machines today.
The new MacBook and MacBook Pro have some of the high-end features that only had been in Macbook Air until now. These include thinner laptop casings and multitouch track pad which is similar to iphone.
The MacBook Pro is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor running at speeds up to 2.8GHz.
Apple has also switched sides from Intel Corp to Nvidia Corp for it’s graphics chips. This is a very good move by apple as this change will speed up intensive graphic works by up to six fold.
The laptops are much lighter than the existing machines and apple has used aluminum for the casing.
The MacBook pro has up to 5 hours of battery life, this is much longer than most other laptops which only have up to 3 hours of battery life.
One thing which might bother you is that the track pads do not have a button as such as the entire track pad is a button. Without a separate button, your hands have 39 percent more room to move on the large, silky glass surface. The multi touch is useful for zooming in and out and rotating images with your fingertips.
The MacBook Pro has a hard drive which has a capacity of up to 320GB and can hold up to 4GB of RAM.
With a faster 1066MHz DDR3 memory you will be able to run more applications and programs at once and not get frustrated by it.
It also has got built in Wifi which has latest 802.11n wireless technology.
The new MacBook will cost $1,299 USD, while the most expensive MacBook Pro will cost $2,499 which comes with two graphics chips from Nvidia for extra fast graphics processing. This will be really useful for designers, gamers and video editors. |
